The Cornerstone Financial Education Mission Statement
We are a national non-profit 501(c) 3 organization providing financial education, counseling, and debt management to consumers who want to get out of debt.Cornerstone Financial Education is dedicated to:
- empowering consumers by offering quality financial education focusing on the sound use of credit and
- providing effective debt management by means of credit counseling, housing counseling, foreclosure counseling, and personal budgeting.
We provide all of our services regardless of a person's age, gender, race, religion, or financial background.
Cornerstone believes that part of our mission is to serve our community by participating in the work of local charities. We support the Capital Area Food Bank and Blue Santa as well as other charities.

In keeping with our mission, we maintain the highest standards of quality. We are committed to providing high-quality services so that we can help our clients better manage their finances. This goal is achieved and our services are continually improved using the ISO 9001:2000 requirements and applicable legislation.Our Goals
- To advocate on behalf of all consumers with a focus on disenfranchised individuals and marginalized “at risk” groups.
- To educate the public at large with the principles of sound money management, stewardship, and financial responsibility. This includes but is not limited to public and private high schools, civic organizations, institutions of higher learning, religious organizations and youth rehabilitation facilities.
- To enrich people’s lives by providing them with the essential skills and edifying presentations and workshops that challenges and revises their perspective on credit and money management.
